If you had missed that roll, I would have cut off the AoP, cut my attrition to 1 for the turn, increased yours to 6, and generally caused you some trouble. But, as you did not miss the roll, things look very bad for me!Switching gears, I have 6 leaders in the ANV and only 2 SP. Normally, you would send one to the turn track. But the rule states that you check at the beginning and end of each strategy round, without saying anything about the inter-turn. Not sure if this is intentional, but as written, I would imagine you will remove one of my leaders to the turn track after the start of the turn and so he will not come back in turn 7. Does that sound right to you?

262 11/27/2014 9:52:00 AM Spring 1863 Confederate Message Uncle!!Nice game, James. I tried playing to avoid losing any states and keep my reinforcement rate up for a long game. I’ve succeeded in doing so, with no states lost so far. But at significant cost, as I have done no damage to you so far. Unsurprisingly, you played great throughout, giving me many fires to tamp down, thereby keeping me too busy to make any positive headway. And your campaign against Richmond, using the one-two punch afforded by a campaign was a brilliant stroke. I should have struck back at the AoP earlier, to punish it for moving away from DC, but I let other priorities blind me to the danger. I wanted to quit at the end of turn 6, but figured a campaign might give me a small but nonzero chance of pulling it out. I didn’t get the campaign (I’m not sure, but I don’t think I got any all game), but I did get the interrupt. Without a campaign, I needed to try to get out by bypassing the AoP, but you made the 50% intercept again snuffing out any remaining chance I had. Losing Virginia and Richmond is painful, but losing two cav and my army were the real problem.

One day, I’m gonna get you. Just not today!! 🙂

Happy Thanksgiving! See you in August,

Bill

263 11/27/2014 11:44:00 AM Spring 1863 Union Message It’s always a pleasure playing you, Bill. You fought a brilliant defense, stamping out every single one of my incursions. Yes, you kept the Confederacy intact. But like you said, at a cost. You allowed me to build up and extended your forces. When I have the cards, then I was able to outflank the weakened defense around VA and trap its forces. Of course, that series of bad rolls by you just sealed the fate much faster than planned.Until we meet again…
Happy Thanksgiving!
